Description: This lesson provides an illustrated reading passage that contains the reflections of William Tyson a native Eskimo. Tyson compares the Eskimo culture of yesterday and today. Objectives: Students will explore decomposition rates of different types of materials. Students will recognize that water sinks into the ground, runs off and is reused. Students will recognize that run-off water from a landfill can contaminate the water table.
