INSTRUCTION

 

Goal: To understand and demonstrate the process of interviewing a person for information

 

Behavioral Objectives:

 

Prior Knowledge Needed:

Students should practice mock interviews in small groups in class before conducting real interviews.

Lesson Summary and Performance Tasks:

Teacher will begin by having a class discussion to create a web about different kinds of interviews. Next the students will use the Internet to study student interviews. Now students are ready to brainstorm and write the interview questions for their interviewee. Students will then conduct their interviews with the aid of a tape recorder, and optional (camcorder). Finally students will work in small groups to present their findings using PowerPointÔ, HyperStudioÔ, or a word processor.
