Identify Seminole foods in English and Miccosukee.
Lesson Summary and Performance Tasks:
This lesson will provide students the opportunity to discuss their knowledge of Seminole food and gain knowledge of other native foods. The teacher will inform students of the plants and animals in the Seminole diet. After a teacher presentation, students will answer questions about their favorite Seminole dishes. The activity will be to illustrate their favorite dishes on paper plates, bowls and cups. At the end of the unit, each student will describe their meal and “serve” it to another classmate.
