Goal: To have students string seed beads and alphabet beads to make bracelets and necklaces.

Students will participate in teacher-lead discussion on
animals popular to the Seminole tribe (otter, panther, etc.). The teacher will present a chart (attached)
listing the animal names in Miccosukee (native language). Then students will pick an animal that
represents them. It can relate to their
clan name or be a favorite animal. The
following day, students will create their own bracelet or necklace. The students will use a size 8 (or smaller)
seed and alphabet beads. The alphabet
beads will be used to spell out the animal chosen to represent that child.
