Students will read various articles on the history of chickees (www.semtribe.com). The teacher will lead a class discussion on the importance of chickees in the history of Seminole housing. Following these activities, individually, students will create a model of a chickee using various art supplies (Popsicle sticks, glue gun, etc.). Lastly, students will present to the class their completed models.
