• Identify the Native American tribes that live in the region.
• Locate on state map the area where each tribe lives.

• Computer with CD-ROM Drive
• Grolier's Encyclopedia

Lesson Overview:

1. Draw a large picture of web on the chalkboard. Display the maps of the regions, hand out copy of the map to each student. Have them locate the regions.

2. Ask students what they know about Native Americans. write their answers on chart paper.

Cultural Content:

Student will become familiar with tribes in the region being studied.
