Time to Shine
For several years we have been working in the area of curriculum at all the participating schools. We have looked at different classroom strategies, such as thematic teaching, project-based teaching, cultural integration strategies, involving the community, oral history, and technology integration. We've looked at standards alignment and alternative assessment. We've looked at strengthening literacy and mathematics/science learning. Now, IT IS TIME TO SHINE. We need to share what we have learned; to celebrate. We are asking each school to set a goal of contributing a minimum of one lesson plan for each teacher at the school each semester to the on-line database. The database is growing to be an outstanding asset. Make sure your community is represented.
